About
CLOUD 9 FILM FESTIVAL
It's the world's first ever inflight film festival, and guess who's sitting in
the director's chair? --- YOU! Cloud 9 Short Film Festival showcases rising
talent in short-format, and makes you the judge of what's worthy and what's
worthless. Vote for your favorite short film by clicking Nominees.
How To Submit a Film
So, you have a short film and you want to make
it fly? Well great! Just follow the instructions below and you are on your way.
It's as easy as 1,2,3.
By submitting your film you give Cloud 9 Film
Festival the right to exhibit your film in flight and online. Each selected film
will play for one month on all flights of Frontier Airlines. It will also be
seen on the Cloud 9 web site where viewers can vote for their favorite film of
the month. Each month's winner will be screened at the annual contest. The
winner of that event will receive a $5,000 grand prize!
1. Make sure your film is appropriate for all
audiences. Because Cloud 9 runs 5 new films each month on Frontier Airlines,
each film has to be appropriate for anyone to watch. This means no adult subject
matter like cursing, nudity, or graphic violence.
2. Clear your rights. In order to show your
film on Cloud 9 all commercial rights have to be cleared. This means any
clearances for actors, writers, music, logos, trademarks, etc. must be taken
care of before your film can run. The easiest way to do this is through our
friends at Big Film Shorts. They have all the expertise and
forms necessary to get your rights covered. If you have questions they will
advise you about what you need.
3. Send us the film. We can take films shot or
created in any format. For screening purposes please submit on VHS or DVD.
Sorry, but submissions cannot be returned.
Please print the form at this link and
include with your submission.
